One of a Kind with Mye De Leon

I don’t think I’ve shared that I got chosen to join Mye de Leon guest creative team at Design House Digitals recently. So for the next three months I get to have fun with her products and let me tell you she has some super cute stuff. Last week I created this layout using her new Indian Summer Kit.

Autumn Treasures

All the supplies and template are Mye’s. As soon as I saw the kit colors I knew these pictures were perfect for it. The same thing happened this week. As soon as I saw the previews for the new supplies

I just knew the picture I wanted to scrap was this one.

Eleanor’s friend Virginia took the picture one afternoon at the park and I loved it as soon as I saw it.

I wanted to use these frames from Mye with it

The only problem was that the frame was square which didn’t quite work with the picture. So with the use of the square marque tool and some digital magic I fixed that and was able to keep the all important “one of a KIND” for my title. If you don’t know how to do this there is a great tutorial at Trixie Scraps Designs Blog – here.

I then chose a great template from Mye’s  Scrap It Simple Vol.1 – Templates. I changed it out a little – well that’s what templates are all about a starting place for creating your own layout and here is what I came up with.

I can say this is one of my favorites. Can you see how I did a blended extraction to make her fingers appear as if they are hanging over the edge of the frame. Thanks to Jana Morton’s class for teaching me how to do that. It really makes her look like she is climbing out of the page!

Watch out for some more great pages done with Mye’s products over the next few months.
