So what did I create with the August Templates from Simple Scrapper? I mean that’s why you came here isn’t it?
I had planned on doing this layout since we went to San Francisco earlier this month and then the digi show did a show about “then and now layouts” and it reminded me I hadn’t done it so I searched for the original picture we took 9 years ago so I could compare the two. I hadn’t realised that we’d got the orientation wrong when we took the picture this summer. I guess if I plan to do this sort of thing again it would help if I took a copy of the original picture with me. The result was I had to change the orientation of one of the photo’s on the layout but it gave me room for a larger cluster of elements. To lighten the layout I decided to add the banner as it felt a little dark with out it. All supplies are from Chelle’s Creations – Chocolate lover kit at www.scraporchard.com.
I also did a double page layout with the template this month. I combined the Single 1 and Grid1. I love double page layouts for event scrapping and the grids help add lots of pictures.

I LOVE the chocolate fun in the first layout, but I think I like the 2nd layout even more! The 2-page layout really captures the mood! I love it!
